Quins beat KCB to Move up the table as Mwamba’s winning form continues and Homeboyz raid Kabras

Kenya Harlequins earned a 14-20 Kenya Cup Rugby victory by outclassing KCB at the Impala grounds though not with a bonus point.

The result coupled with KCB’s draw to Western Bulls earlier this month means that mathematically this could cost the banker’s chance to finish on top of the standings at the end of the regular season before playoffs.

Quins led 10-6 at half-time and rammed home the advantage in the second spell as KCB failed to find a way to counter the intense pressure.

KCB regained the lead through a Felix Wanjala’s unconverted try followed by exchange of penalties and quick phase play from both teams but Nyambok turned the fortunes for Quins who now swap positions with KCB climbing to second on the log with 27 points as the bankers drop to third on 26.

Philip Ikambili, Joshua Chisanga and Humphrey Mulama touched down for Homeboyz with Lubisia converting thrice and a penalty.

Kenya Cup leaders Impala RFC opened up a four points lead at the top with a 55-10 win over Mean Machine to take their tally to 31 points.
